What Are the 5 African Countries That Will Experience a Total Solar Eclipse in February 2027?
On February 6, 2027, an annular, or “ring of fire,” solar eclipse will occur in South America and Africa. In South America, the path of annularity will cross over Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. In Africa, the path of annularity will cross over Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria.
The maximum duration of annularity for this eclipse will be 7 minutes and 51 seconds. The maps below show the path of annularity over South America and Africa.

While African countries will not experience the 8th April Total Eclipse, there are five countries that will have full solar eclipse on 30th April, 2041.
On April 30, 2041, a total solar eclipse will occur in Africa. The path of totality will cross over Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, and Somalia.
The maximum duration of totality for this eclipse will be 1 minute and 51 seconds.
