What is the 2021 date for reopening of schools in Ghana? This is the most important question about education in Ghana today, as the leadership of the country is yet to announce the reopening date.
The date was expected to be made known after the cabinet meeting held on 30th December 2020.
However, no information is out yet, although some stakeholders like the Education watch has suggested 18th January 2020 as appropriate.

From all indications, there are learners who are eager to go back to school however, with Covid-19 still around, there are fears that the government may delay the reopening of schools. Such a decision will further negatively impact the fortunes of private pre-tertiary schools in Ghana.

When will 2020/2021 SHS placements be released by GES?
The GES is yet to release the 2020/2021 School placement for the 2020 BECE graduates.
The school placement results are often released after school has reopened and SHS2 and SHS 3 students have reported to the school for academic work.
Should schools resume by end of January 2020, the school placement results may not be released until February or March 2021.
