Following the ongoing 2021 WASSCE, Education Think Tank – Africa Education Watch claims it is monitoring the international examination being conducted by the West African Examinations Council. The monitoring is being done with the assistance of OXFAM.
2021 WASSCE Leakage reported so far by Africa Education Watch
The notice to WAEC came after the Africa Education Watch reported to the Examinations Council on Friday, August 20, 2021, the leakage of Food and Nutrition Paper 3, which was set to be administered on Friday at 1:30 PM.
The Executive Director of EduWatch reported on social media, “Food and Nutrition Paper 3, which was scheduled for 1:30 PM, was leaked on social media at 6:00 am and 11:06 AM Friday,”
“We reported to West African Examinations Council (WAEC) at 11:10 AM, and can now confirm it is indeed a genuine leak. The paper is just starting at the Centres,” Mr Kofi Asare said in the post.
Mr. Asare claims that his organization is closely monitoring the conduct of this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with the assistance of OXFAM in order to improve accountability in the Education Assessment Sector.
With the assistance of OXFAM, Eduwatch is observing WASSCE 2021 and will continue to work with WAEC to increase accountability in the Education Assessment Sector per a statement by the organization.

Meanwhile, the non-profit group (WAEC) has said that it is considering legal action against Education Watch for saying that the 2020 WASSCE questions were leaked to the first batch of free SHS students on purpose.

Rev. Victor Brew, the Head of the WAEC Legal Department, commented on the subject, saying that the Africa Education Watch 2020 WASSCE report is full of falsehoods and that his organization is considering launching a lawsuit against the Watch.
