In an interview monitored by Ghana Education News during the Youth Summit 2022, which is underway at the International Conference Centre.

2022/2023 National Service Posting Date Out, 100k personnel to be posted, advice to the new personnels
According to the National Service Secretariat, it has posted over 80,000 NSS personnel each year in the last three years and expects to post close to 100,000 personnel who are graduating this year.
On the issue of the development of its personnel, Mr. Kwaku Ohene Gyan, the Deputy Executive Director of NSS in charge of operations, said, rarely will that happen (Redeployment).
This is a human institution, and sometimes you have to look at the situation.
He added that after the posting of National Service Personnel, those with serious health issues and other complicated matters may be exempted from starting the service and then redeployed to other sectors and institutions where their services are needed later.
Would-be personnel were advised to undertake the National Service as part of the requirements before they start to look for job opportunities.
The National Service is an opportunity for graduates to give back to the country through their service in any sector they are posted to.
The state has spent so much on you, take the opportunity being given to you to also serve.

The graduates to be deployed in November 2022 were admonished to accept postings to where ever they are posted to since “the aim of the service is to use graduates to make life better for persons in deprived communities” Mr. Kwaku Ohene Gyan disclosed during the interview
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Life 94.3 Fm, Mr. Kwaku Ohene Gyan said that the summit was part of efforts to help all service personnel exit the NSS to be able to start their own business or find jobs in the private and public sectors after the service.
He added that the work of service personnel has been a blessing and gave instances where National Service personnel had to help students prepare for their final examination, which helped such candidates make good grades.
He appealed to the personnel to give their best when they are posted.
He called on Ghanaian tertiary institution graduates who are yet to undertake their service for one reason or the other to contact the NSS for the formal inclusion of their data and posting for them to do the mandatory service.
