The Ministry’s comment comes after the Minority in Parliament raised concerns about the issue. However, the Deputy Minister for Education, Ntim Fordjour, has said that the government has paid an amount of GH¢40 million to WAEC for the administration of the two examinations this year.
He also said that all arrangements to begin the BECE on August 7, 2023, are in place and nothing has changed.
The West African Exams Council has also cautioned members of the general public, particularly students, to disregard purported confirmed topics for the 2023 WASSCE and BECE circulating on social media platforms.
