2024 NOVDEC results release date and how to buy result checker

The 2024 private WASSCE (NOVDEC) results are expected to be released by WAEC in the last week of  not later than the last week of February, 2025.

In 2023, the private WASSCE results were released by the WAEC on 20th February, 2024. That of 2024 candidates would be released around the same period or early March, 2025. At the time of this publication, WAEC was yet to release the results for candidates who sat the examination in Ghana.

Candidates who sat for the examination will only be able to check their results on the result portal with valid WASSCE result checkers after an official release of the results.

How to check the NOVDEC results released by WAEC

  1. Go to https://ghana.waecdirect.org/
  2. Enter your index number.
  3. Select the Type of Examination (e.g., WASSCE).
  4. Select your examination year, e.g., 2024.
  5. Enter the serial number found on the voucher.
  6. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your voucher, e.g., 012345678912.
  7. Confirm your index number and examination year. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.
  8. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes.

The danger of failing the exam this time around

Students who failed the school WASSCE and sat the exam have been delayed at least one year as far as entering a tertiery institution is concerned. Candidates who will fail the NOVDEC 2024 exam will again not be able to enrol in tertiary institutions in 2026 but in 2027 if they pass the next private WASSCE to be held in November 2026.
