2023 School Placement Documents To Print, Take Along For Enrolment
As candidates, parents, and the general public wait for the release of the 2023 SHS placements, Ghan Education News deems it fit to share with readers all the 2023 school placement documents to print as well as all other documents to be carried along to the school a candidate has been placed in.
When must I visit the school I have been placed in, and when does academic work start for 2023 BECE graduates as SHS1 students?
When the school placement is made public, the date from which candidates and parents are to report to the school to commence the enrolment process will be stated on the placement form or slip. This date is often the date stated on the placement document you printed. According to the GES, students will report to school on December 4, 2023. This is the date students can start going to their schools. Often, the school will let students know when they will officially start academic work, which is different from the reporting date.
What placement documents must I print after checking my placement?
There are two important documents that a candidate must print from the CSSPS portal. These are the candidate placement slip (BECE candidate placement information) and the candidate placement form. GES may add the new list of items parents are to buy and supply to the schools to make it easy for parents.
Candidate Placement Plip (BECE candidate placement information)
The candidate placement slip (BECE candidate placement information) is a summary sheet containing vital information about the candidate. Information such as the candidate’s raw score, SHS placed in, programme offered, district of the school you are placed in, and region can be found on the slip.
Again, you will find the subjects considered by the GES/MoE in arriving at your total raw score. On the same slip, you will find the list of schools you chose in their order of preference.
Candidate Placement Form
The second document you print from the CSSPS portal is the candidate placement form. Print two copies of this form.
The personal details of the candidate are to be filled out here for submission to the head of the senior high school or TVET school you have been placed at.
The detailed information to be provided on this form includes the following: the student’s biodata, details about parents, and student interests (i.e., athletics, football, debate/science club, etc.). Students will provide information about leadership positions held at the JHS level, such as school prefect, compound overseer, etc.
Finally, the student will sign a bond of good behaviour at the tail end of the form, which must be witnessed by an adult, parent, or guardian.
