2023 WASSCE: Date For Next Core Paper Revealed
On Monday, 31st July, 2023, the 2023 WASSCE officially began. So far, one core subject has been written. This was the Social Studies paper which was written on Monday, 28th August, 2023.
Let’s take a look at the date for the next core subject. The next core subject after Social Studies is English language paper.
This core subject will be written on 7th September, 2023. It will be a continuous paper. This means there will be no break for candidates .
The paper will start at exactly 8;30am and end at 11:00am for both papers(essay and objectives)
The English language paper really takes a lot of time to complete. It is parked with several questions. It has two parts, Part A and PART B
Part A is the objective test which is made up of 80 Objective Test questions.
The Part B is made of two sections, namely Section A and B.
SECTION A
This has to do with essay writing. Here, candidates will choose from 5 available essay topics to write on with 450 words.
SECTION B
This section has to deal with comprehension. Candidates will read a passage and answer questions on such passage
It also contains a passage where candidates will write a summary about it. All questions in this section is compulsory.

After the English language paper, Core Mathematics will follow. This paper will be written on the 14th of September, 2023. It will be the only paper of the day. After this paper, Integrated Science will also follow. This paper will also be written on Monday, 18th September, 2023.

On Tuesday, 26th September, 2023, the 2023 WASSCE will officially come to an end. Before this date, several candidates would have been done with all their papers
