Key Updates:

  • December 2nd  – Special Voting

The EC has commenced the December 2nd special voting across the country in 14 regions. The special voting for Western and Eastern Region will be held on 5th December, 2024.

  • December 1, 2024: The EC organized an emergency IPAC meeting and press conference.
    • Ballots for the Western and Eastern regions will be reprinted by three newly selected printing presses after a defaced ballot was found in the public domain.
    • The December 2 special voting for EC officers, security personnel, and other stakeholders will proceed as planned.
    • Special voting for Eastern and Western regions will be held on December 5 due to issues with their ballots, as stated in the EC’s press release.
