2024 GETFund scholarship portal open: Apply here

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has opened its applications portal for undergraduate and graduate local scholarship programme for the 2023/2024 academic year.

“The GETFund invites eligible candidates to apply for undergraduate (Diploma, HND & Degree) programmes, as well as graduate scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year,” the Administrator of GETFund, Dr Richard Boadu, said.

Under the scholarships, he said, financial assistance would be provided to support deserving students pursuing Diploma, Higher National Diploma (HND), and Degree programmes to enable them to unlock their potential and embark on a path to academic success.

Dr Boadu, who briefed the Daily Graphic in Accra, encouraged prospective applicants to seize the chance to secure their future and explore endless possibilities.

“Whether you aspire to further your education in the arts, sciences, business or any other field, the GETFund Scholarship can assist you in achieving your goals,” he added.

Dr Boadu also cautioned that fraudulence and misrepresentation in the course of filling the form would result in criminal proceedings.

“Applicants are not allowed to apply for the same degree (Undergraduate, Postgraduate) twice if they have already received a scholarship,” he said, adding that providing incorrect information would lead to automatic disqualification.

Dr Boadu directed continuing students to indicate the entire duration of the programme and not only the remaining academic year.

“Ensure correct spelling of your names with the initial letter capitalised when signing up on the portal and upload and label necessary documents as instructed,” he added.

2024 GETFund scholarship portal open but comes with automatic disqualification issues

Dr Boadu further outlined factors that could lead to automatic disqualification to include failure to complete the application, failure to submit a completed application, submitting multiple applications and not meeting the stated requirements.

The rest, he said, were discrepancies between uploaded documents and information in the application form, conflicting identities in uploaded documents, selecting incorrect schools or programmes and submission of blurred documents, or failure to submit documents in the required format.

“Applicants are reminded that the entire application process is free, and GETFund has no intermediaries.

“Any payments made to individuals or organisations in relation to this application process are at the applicant’s own risk,” the administrator said.
