What is it that the 2024 WASSCE result released is not active on the WAEC result portal? Why can students see the 2024 exam year on the result portal? What is the result portal for checking results released for WASSCE (SC) candidView Postates? Read all the answers here.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2024 WASSCE results for school candidates; however, they are yet to be active on the results portal. A check by our team showed that WAEC has not yet updated the portal to include the year 2024. Usually, the year for which the results are to be released is updated on the site before the release of the results.
Without the activation of the year 2024 on the portal, students and all stakeholders cannot access the released results.
There are several possible reasons for this situation, including:
- Data Population Delay:
When data is published on a site like WAEC’s results portal or the Ministry of Education’s school placement portal, it may take some time for the data to be fully populated. This process can take up to 48 hours, depending on the volume of data and the capacity of the hosting service. Sometimes it can take a few minutes as well to serve the page needed to check the results to visitors on the site. - Oversight:
This could be an oversight on WAEC’s part, and they may quickly rectify it if that is the case. - Incomplete Upload:
It is possible that the uploading of the results is not yet complete. Once this process is finalized, the data will still need to go through the population stage mentioned earlier. - False Information:
Lastly, it is possible that the press release circulating may not have originated from WAEC, despite being shared on an X account purported to belong to WAEC.
New information reaching this portal is that the results will be accessible on waecgh.org
It is hoped that WAEC will officially respond to the inability of students to access their results on the portal. Currently, without the year 2024 being displayed on the portal, it is impossible to check the results for this batch of candidates.
