Disability is never inability as Cerebral palsy student develops two Apps

Cerebral palsy student develops two Apps, and that should wake all abled-bodied and lazy people up. What abled-bodied men and women fail to do, persons with disabilities who are least expected are able to touch the world and impact it positively with their inner gifts. Edmond Owusu a Cerebral palsy student has developed two Apps as part of his project for graduating from OpenLabs Ghana (formerly NIIT) as an IT student.

Edmond Owusu has been with the medical condition, Cerebral palsy since birth however his success made his family so elated and their tears filled the auditorium during the graduation of their son, brother, and friend.

By these feet, Edmond Owusu has proven that regardless of his condition and the odds that never favoured him he was very useful to the world and himself. He never allowed his condition to obstruct him not even the social and economic impediments could stop him from realizing his childhood desire of becoming a software engineer.

The 21-year-old IT enthusiast is now a software engineer. After completing senior high school (SHS) four years ago, Edmond undertook a professional course in software engineering at the OpenLabs Ghana in Accra in 2018.

It was a moment of celebration at the Institute of Statistics, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) auditorium, the event venue, last Saturday when the gathering received Edmond with a standing ovation and applauded him for achieving what appeared an impossible milestone.

The applause became louder and persisted for about five minutes when it was announced that the celebrant was not only one of the best students in his class but had also successfully developed two software.
