GES guidelines for GES guidelines for Sandwich programmes, Distance programmes, Weekend programmes, and Evening programmes
The Ghana Education Service has outlined new guidelines for Sandwich, Distance, Weekend, and Evening programmes of teachers in the country. The new guidelines take effect from Tuesday 7th September 2021 according to the letter.
This new guideline which involves a three-step process will be used for approving applications for Post Diploma Bachelor Education Programmes.
To seek the approval of the Ghana Education Service, applicants must go through the following steps.
STEP 1: Applicants must apply for approval through the District or Municipal Directors of Education to the Director-General.
STEP 2: Regional Directors then compile details of all applicants who qualify for onward transfer to the headquarters using the template provided for processing the request.
STEP 3: Regional directors will issue letters to complete the process once approval has been given by the Director-General.

The new approval process requires that in all instances, the programme teachers are applying for must be those which have been approved as part of the study leave with pay components.
