Ghanaian schools reopen mid-January: Schools in Ghana will return to full academic work beginning mid-January 2021. This update is based on information communicated to Graphic Online and sighted by GhanaEducation.Org
The major decision, the outcome of Wednesday’s cabinet meeting chaired by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is expected to be announced soon.
The exact resumption date is unclear yet but the sources say it could be any date from 12th to 19th January, and will mark a return from the long, Covid-19 inspired schools closure by the government.
President Akufo-Addo on March 15, announced the closure of all schools in the country beginning March 16, along with a ban on public gatherings when Ghana confirmed her first two positive Covid-19 cases.
