The Importance of Passing the BECE Mathematics Paper
Every BECE subject is important, but the Mathematics and English Language subjects are the most important when it comes to determining who qualifies for placement.
Mathematics remains an important subject that helps determine which candidate makes it to the school placement portal and who does not.
For the avoidance of doubt, students who obtain grade 9 in mathematics and/or English language will not be placed no matter their excellent performance in all the remaining eight subjects.
For students who are looking forward to choosing science, Business and STEM-related programs, excelling in Mathematics and making good grades and raw scores will help them increase their chances of being placed in top oversubscribed schools and programes.
