Armed Robbers Stole Phones, Not Newborn Babies In Anambra Hospital – Dr Izuehie

Nkpologwu is located in the State’s Aguata Local Government Area, which is also the home of the incumbent Governor, Chukwuma Soludo.

According to recent reports, gunmen stormed the National Medical Centre in Nkpologwu, Anambra State, and abducted four newborn babies.

However, contrary to these reports, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Dr Stanley Izuehie, has dismissed the rumour as false.

Nkpologwu is located in the State’s Aguata Local Government Area, which is also the home of the incumbent Governor, Chukwuma Soludo.

While dismissing the rumors, Dr. Izuehie stated that, contrary to media reports, robbers attacked the hospital two weeks ago and stole handsets and other valuables from patients.

On Thursday and Friday (today), some sections of the media (not SaharaReporters) reported that gunmen attacked a maternity hospital in Nkpologwu, Aguata LGA of the state, and took away four newborn babies.

End of Term Exams

According to those reports, a source from the community confirmed the incident.

However, in response to the report, the CMD called it “fake news.”

According to the PUNCH, the CMD stated, “The information that gunmen stormed the hospital and took four babies is unfounded, untrue, and should be ignored.” Many people, including the state governor, the inspector general of police, and the commissioner of police, have expressed interest in this matter, which I hope will be addressed properly.

“The truth is that there was a robbery attack in the hospital two weeks ago, and the robbers stole phones and other valuables from the patients.” They did not bring a baby, so the public should disregard that aspect.”

In a swift response, Dr. Ferdinand Ezeiruka, President General of Nkpologwu Progressive Union, said the source who claimed to have witnessed the incident misled the public, saying the report had no basis.

“Such a thing did not happen in my community,” Ezeiruka said. Because Nkpologwu is a small town, anything like this will spread quickly. As a result, it did not occur. Nkpologwu is a quiet town.
