Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing His Sugar Mummy And Stealing Her Car
On November 8, he was apprehended in Nekede Owerri while attempting to sell a Toyota Corolla car he allegedly stole from his sugar mommy.
Osuagwu Chidubem, a young man, has been arrested by detectives from the State CID Enugu’s Homicide Section, who are working with Imo State Command police officers.
He was apprehended on November 8 at Nekede Owerri, while attempting to sell a Toyota Corolla car he allegedly stole from his older female lover, Amarachi Chukwu, 32, after allegedly murdering her in her Meniru, Awkunanaw, Enugu residence on November 1.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson for the Enugu state police command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, says an investigation by the police revealed that the suspect and his cohort at large conspired and went to the victim’s house in the morning hours of the mentioned date, attempted to steal her Toyota Corolla key, which she resisted.
“When she resisted, they tied her hands, legs, and mouth with clothes, locked her inside the house, and drove away.
Her decomposing remains, however, were discovered in the said apartment on November 4 after the door was forced open by Police Operatives serving in the Command’s Ikirike Police Division in response to a report that an offensive odor was oozing out of the flat. The remains were evacuated to the hospital, where doctors confirmed her death, and the corpse was deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy,” said Ndukwe.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspect was arraigned in court following the conclusion of the investigation and has been remanded in Custodial Centre custody until the case is heard again.
