WOW! Idris Elba’s Reason For Visiting Prez Akufo-Addo Revealed

Idris Elba, an actor with Ghanaian ancestry, recently visited the country and met with President Akufo-Addo to discuss his ambitions to improve the film sector.

Many people of African heritage, including celebrities, are interested in Ghana as part of the Year of Return and Beyond the Return campaign.

Idris Elba, who was born in Ghana to a Sierra Leonean Creole father and a Ghanaian mother, plans to shoot a film there and strive to improve the country’s film rules.

He also intends to construct a film school to honor his ancestors.

During his visit to the Jubilee House, Idris Elba spoke with President Mahama about his vision for Ghana’s film sector.

A successful film industry, according to Idris Elba, begins with good policies.

He listed South Africa, Europe, Greece, and Morocco as examples of countries that have invested in policies and experienced the benefits of a vibrant film industry.

Idris Elba thanked the National Film Authority (NFA) for its support of his project and believes that his initiative will promote Ghana as a business-friendly and investment-ready destination.

“The National Film Authority has completed the task. Create a thorough strategy to drive Ghana to the forefront. It must be strong. It must be competitive. We are certain, and I know you believe in the legacy you wish to leave behind, that Ghana should take the initiative to begin courting those filmmakers.

“What I want to accomplish is that I have a film that I’m directing, and I’m trying to bring that film, or at least some of that film, to shoot it in Ghana. The film will be released in December. In August, we will begin pre-production. Some of the videos will be in Ghana by December in two or three weeks.”

According to Idris Elba, this initiative will demonstrate to the world that Ghana is open for business!
