GES appoints Emmanuel Essuman as new C/R Education Director

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has appointed Mr Emmanuel Essuman as the new Central Regional Director of Education. Mr Emmanuel Essuman before his appointment was the District Director of Education, Juaboso.

His elevation to the post of the C/R Education Director has been welcomed by many teachers and education workers within the central region.

He brings on board twenty-two (22) years of experience in the field of education which will add to the stock of experience at the region for the promotion of quality, efficient and human-centered leadership within the education sphere.

Profile of Emmanuel Essuman, the new Central Regional Director of Education

He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration – Finance, from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a BED Population and Family Life from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds an executive certificate in Counselling which brings an added advantage to the region.

He has risen through the ranks of the service due to his determination to make a continuous positive impact in education.

He is well-versed in data collection, analysis, and finance. These are critical skills needed for data drive decision-making in the Central region.

He was an EMIS Officer at Asante Mampong Municipal Education Office and Kumasi Metro Education Office.

He has held many positions; including Financial Secretary – National CODE. Financial Secretary – Western North CODE, Chairman – Western North Basic Schools Sports Federation.

It is hoped that Mr Emmanuel Essuman, the new Central Regional Director of Education will bring to the position, the needed leadership skills and experience needed for the development of Education in the region. Stakeholders of education are looking forward to leadership that positively impacts education and harnesses the energies of all towards better education outcomes in the region. He will be expected to champion programs and projects that support the well-being of teachers as well.
