As we are willing to celebrate Founders’ Day and Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday on August 4 and September 21 respectively, we bring to you one of the grandchildren of Ghana’s first president.
Meet Kwame Nkrumah’s Grand-daughter
Princess Fathia Nkrumah (Born 15th April 1996) is a Ghanaian Actress, Model and TV Personality who is the daughter of Dr Sekou Nkrumah and the Granddaughter of Ghana’s first Prime minister and President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
Princess who has an LLB in law is a model and actress.
Princess Fathia, has moved from the political scene into the arts industry and starred in movies and series like; Single not Searching, Dede and Prophet Baddo.
In 2017, Princess Fathia Nkrumah loaned her voice as a narrator for the Papa Oppong x Lawdin “For the Birds” Collection Presentation. Later she would go on to star in seasons 1 and 2 of the Ghanaian political drama series Shampaign as “Debora Ceasar”, who is described as a highly intelligent young woman with political power plays whose loyalties are questioned when her own agenda is revealed.
Following her work on the Critically praised and award wining show Shampiagn which won the Overall Golden (TV series) award at the Golden Movie Awards, Princess Fathia Nkrumah put back to work with the director of the Papa Oppong x Lawdin Presentation Gene Adu on the movie Little Problems as a starring character “Adwoa”.

Princess is also set to grace the big screen as the female lead role “Benyiwa” an african woman living in the diaspora who returns to Ghana with two friends and is forced to question the legitimacy of traditions when one of her friends goes missing in the anticipated Ghanaian Thriller, “The Curfew”. The Curfew was inspired by the funeral an Ashanti queen mother who in 2016 at the age 111.
