Achimota Senior High Adds Tyrone Marghuy To Its National Science and Maths Quiz Squad
Tyrone Marghuy has been added to Achimota Senior High School’s team for the National Science and Math Quiz competition. Tyronne Marghuy is set to compete for Achimota Senior High in this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz.
Tyrone’s acceptance into the school sparked a national discussion after the institution initially turned him down because of his dreadlocks.
Tyrone Marghuy won the case in a Ghanaian court, which rendered the decision. Marghuy is a member of the team that will represent the school in the upcoming competition, according to information posted by the school on social media.
“#AchimotaAt96 🎹 Last month, our @nsmqghana team participated in a Trial session as we prepare for the upcoming quiz season.
All community members are invited to get in touch with the team and provide them with the tools they need to have a successful season.
Tyrone Marghuy was seen sitting among the members of the school’s NSQM team, the school claimed in a post that was accompanied by photos.
The post has shocked many over how Achimota School initially refused to admit the brilliant student because of his dreadlocks. “The chief cornerstone was once rejected. Wei! Why do this to ourselves,” a Facebook user wrote.
Another said “Shame on yall, the guy u were dragging around bcoz of Locs is the one making u proud,” with one Dr Yaw Opoku adding that “Eeeiiii. This guy prophesied that he will be there to represent them. Indeed, he has fulfilled his dream. Rasta! Hard guy“.
Netizens reacted to the post from the official account of Achimota Senior High and they were all in praise of Tyrone Marghuy and backlashes for the school.
Per the reactions spotted, netizens deemed the school not to have any shame after all the treatments they guy faced prior to his admission to the school.
