AECE Awards 2022: GhanaEducation.Org adjudged media house of the year

Ghana Education News (GhanaEducation.Org) picked the prestigious Media House of The Year Award at the 2022 Africa Early Childhood Education Award ceremony held in Accra.
The event aimed at recognizing the valuable contributions of early childhood education practitioners, teachers, Early childhood education entrepreneurs, NGOs, and CSOs as well as media houses championing education issues in Ghana.
This year’s award, the second edition, was under the theme “The Role Of The Early Childhood Educator In An Inclusive School” Ghana Education News (Ghanaeducation.org) was awarded for 8ts reports on education issues in Ghana with a focus on education and related news on children under 8.
At the event to pick the award were Mr. Wisdom Kojo Eli Hammond (far right), founder of Ghanaeducation.org, Ms. Sandrine Comoe (Middle), one of the hard-working staff of the online news portal, and Mr. Joseph Kobla Wemakor (Second from left) , founder of Human Rights Reporters Ghana who doubles as a reporter on human rights issues on Ghana Education News.
Speaking to the Media after the event, Mr. Hammond alluded to the fact that, the award is a testament to the hard work of the entire team and family at Ghanaeducation.org. He added that the award gives the Ghana Education News team a new challenge as an online news portal to report more on Early Childhood Education issues to draw the attention of policymakers, parents, teachers, and pre-schools to new and emerging best practices and quality assurance principles that will help Early child education gain prominence in Ghana.

The lead and founder of Ghana Education News dedicated the recognition to all readers who visit the portal for useful information on education and other issues, He also praised all freelance writers who have worked with the portal but with special thanks to the current team which includes Mr. Joseph Kobla Wemakor, Mr. Asare Michael Barffour, Ms. Sandrine Comoe, Mr. Ishmeal Nortey, Mr. Lenis Nzaley-Addy and Mr. Ofori Ambitious.
The well-attended event took place at the Catholic Institute of Business & Technology (CIBT) auditorium in Accra, near the GNAT Hall.
The fertile brain behind the prestigious award event aimed at awarding and recognizing preschool teachers, schools, and other stakeholders for their immense contribution is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TERIA Foundation, Mr. Walter Mawuli Gli.
At the event, he challenged all to endeavour to change the narrative and mindset of parents and others who believe Preschool is a dumping ground for busy parents.
