The AFCON 2023 will end for Ghana today as they go head-to-head with Inform Egypt in their second group game. The Egypt vs. Ghana game is expected to be tough for the Black Stars of Ghana.
It will be a miracle to see Ghana even draw with Egypt in their second group match.
The Black Stars are projected to lose their second game and be the second team to be eliminated at the Cup of Nations underway in Ivory Coast.
Ghana, in their first group game, was beaten 2-1 by Cape Verde. The two teams had all to play for and a win for the Central African Republic was all they needed to book a spot while Ghana needed at least a draw to make it to the tournament in Côte d’Ivoire.
In that final qualifier, Semenyo and Nuamah combined after the former pounced on a defensive error to set up the Lyon man to slot home the winner in the 87th minute.
However, Ghana is no longer the big name in Africa and world football, and the team will not have any impact on the tournament but will be a mere participant.
