Akufo-Addo Pledges Economic Revival: Striving for High Growth Rate Amidst Challenges

In a bid to instill confidence in the nation’s economic recovery, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged Ghanaians that the government is steadfastly working towards revitalizing the economy and reinstating a high rate of growth. The president delivered this assurance during his address at the Valedictory Service for the outgoing Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Sunday.

Quoted by 3news.com, President Akufo-Addo conveyed his optimism about restoring Ghana’s economic fortunes, stating, “The fortunes of Ghana under the presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo will be restored, by the grace of Almighty God.”

Highlighting the administration’s commitment to economic rejuvenation, he emphasized, “The Akufo-Addo government is working hard to return the economy to a high rate of growth,” reminiscent of the pre-COVID era when Ghana stood out among the fastest-growing economies globally.

Acknowledging the hurdles faced along the way, the president recognized the necessity for collective efforts in the country. He remarked, “To get here, we had to take some difficult and hard decisions. The policies and programs we are implementing are meant to address the challenges, and it is evident that they are doing so.”
