Baby born without nose gets support from Bola Ray to raise funds
Newborn wonder Nkunim born without a nose gets support from Bola Ray to raise funds for her. She has been picked as the face of Ultimate FM’s Vim Walk With Bola Ray scheduled for October 2, 2021, in Kumasi, Ashanti’s capital.
Kwabena Anokye Adisi, CEO of EIB Network and organizer of the inaugural event, has been moved by the narrative of the infant and hopes to use his influence to raise a permanent fund and contributions for her.
As a result of Ultimate News breaking the news of Nkunim’s congenital arhinia, her tale has garnered a great deal of attention.
Nkunim’s parents were unable to welcome their unusual child into their house, therefore the Mother and Baby Unit of the hospital was left to care for her.
Doctors at the hospital had given up hope that she would survive, but Nkunim has proven to be a living miracle.
According to Dr. Gyikua Plange Rhule, a pediatrician at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, surgeons have recommended that she develop a bit more before any medical operation can be properly performed.
According to her, “she doesn’t have a nose or any of the passageways that you’d use to breathe normally. Her mouth appears to be the primary source of her breathing, at least for the time being.
It’s obvious that the looks of the baby born without a nose is a problem, and a prosthetic nose may help.
Creating a nose that she can breathe through is more challenging. As of now, the Surgeons’ view is that we shouldn’t do it since the experience will likely be too traumatic, painful, and stressful for us to go through with it.
A lot of people agree with me on this one; we’ll just wait and see how she develops,” she said. She is fed, clothed, diapered, and her medical expenses are paid for by the kind hospital personnel who have become her extended family.
The hospital loves Nkunim, despite her developmental problems. She’s a cheerful, energetic girl who loves to wander about the Mother and Baby Unit on her walker.
In an interview with Kumasi Ultimate FM, her closest nurse, Edna Serwaa Boama, said that Nkunim leaves a gap in their hearts, even on brief visits to specialists.
We are so attached to her that when she is taken even for a short time to see her experts, everyone wants to know where she is. Her health is in the hands of the physicians and personnel here. “Every day, our director makes her meals and delivers them to her,” Edna recalled.
After starting from Kumasi City Mall and returning, the 18-kilometer Vim Walk with Bola Ray is intended to be a mix bag event for fitness, networking and entertainment while raising money for charity.
Among those who have pledged to walk the path are Okyeame Kwame, Yaw Tog, Black Sheriff Stonebuoy Flow Kingstone Amerado Black Prophet Hajia4Real, and a host of others.
In terms of his medical condition, Nkunim’s future seems grim. In order to properly monitor and care for her, she will need a lot of money and a lot of attention.

That care depends on the generosity of others; it is the only way she may live out the remainder of her days on earth.
When the walk is through, Bola Ray will lead Kumasi to leave an everlasting imprint on compassion and generosity as he walks with Nkunim.
