The Bank of Ghana Exchange Rates for the Dollar, Pounds, and Euro are out on March 13th, 2024.
The exchange rates released by the BoG are the average interbank exchange rates at the end of March 12, 2023.
While the BoG quoted a buying rate of GHS12.56 and a selling rate of GHS12.58 for the dollar, Foreax Bureaus are quoting GHS12.95 and GHS13.25, respectively, for the dollar.
The average interbank exchange rate for pounds is a buying rate of GHS16.06 and a selling rate of GHS16.06, while those of forex bureaus are GHS16.25 and GHS16.75 respectively.
Forex bureaus are selling the Euro for GHS14.30 and buying at GHS13.80, while the BoG has quoted GHS13.72 and GHS13.73 as the buying and selling rates, respectively.
The rates quoted by the forex bureaus are more attractive to traders compared to those by the BoG.
The rates quoted by the various commercial banks for the day are also out and above the interbank rates from the BoG.
