What Are The Black Market Exchange Rates And Those Released By The BoG For Dollars, Pounds and Euros Rates For Today?
The exchange rates for dollars, pounds, and euros for today, January 6, 2024, have been made public by the Bank of Ghana. The exchange rates from the day before are the basis for the interbank average rates that are disclosed.
“The average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business Monday, January 5, 2024” The bank of Ghana stated.
According to the rates made public:
GHS 12.03 is the purchasing rate for $1, while GHS 12.07 is the selling rate.
The British pound is trading at £1 to GHS15.12, but it is purchasing at £1 to GHS15.11.
The interbank rate for selling €1 is GHS12.95, but you may purchase it for GHS12.94.
The prices that forex bureaus are offering for the three main foreign currencies, however, appear favourable and high. Today, Foreex Bureaus are buying at GHS 12.30 and selling one dollar for GHS 12.60.
The rates for the British Pound are GHS15.90 for sales and GHS15.40 for purchases.
The forex bureaus are purchasing at GHS13.10 per dollar, while the Euor is selling at GHS13.60.
What is Black market dollar to cedis exchange rate today?
Right now, one US dollar is worth 12.377645 cedis on the underground (Black market) market. It may be exceedingly dangerous to trade foreign currency rates on the illicit market. Two locations in Accra that are well-known for having a thriving black market economy include Tudu, which is located between Kinbu Sec Tech and the STS bus terminal, and the traffic light at Kotoka International Airport. When trading in such regions, one should exercise particular caution and watch out for counterfeit foreign money, among other things.
