Following Sarkodie, who won the International Flow category in 2019, Sad Boys President is the second Ghanaian to be nominated.
On October 4, 2022, the 17th edition of the BET Hip Hop Awards was hosted as a celebration of success. The nominees were announced on September 12, 2022.
This year’s event was hosted by Fat Joe. Drake earned the most nominations, with 14, followed by Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar, each with ten.

BET announced Benjamin Epp’s triumph by posting “Congratulations for winning the 2022 Best International Flow award!”
Meanwhile, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, an analyst on United Showbiz (UTV), has said that Black Sherif owes Sarkodie a debt of gratitude for opening the road for them.

Arnold suggested that Sarkodie was the first African artist to win the BET Best International Flow award in his own language, which created a type of standard.
He argues that his recent accomplishment as the first Ghanaian musician to reach 100 million Spotify streams has pushed Black Sherif to succeed with his music and break into the worldwide market.
“The recognition is significant, but winning it will be frosting on the cake,” Arnold reasoned.
