Blakk Rasta calls finance ministry staff childish

Radio personality Blakk Rasta has strongly criticized Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and the ministry as whole, expressing disapproval of the hero’s welcome given to him by his staff after presenting the 2024 budget as childish. Blakk Rasta deems such accolades unnecessary, asserting that Ofori-Atta has failed the nation and that the staff, as civil servants, should not engage in public displays of support.

Blakk Rasta’s reaction follows the Finance Minister’s return to his office, where he was greeted with a guard of honor by staff after presenting the 2024 Budget and financial statement in parliament on November 15, 2023. The staff lined up to welcome Ofori-Atta, applauding and cheering as he arrived, an act that Blakk Rasta views as unwarranted given the country’s prevailing challenges and the Finance Minister’s perceived failures.
