Her Honor Mercy Adei-Kotei, the Koforidua Circuit Court “B” judge, sentenced the 30-year-old carpenter to seven (7) years in jail with hard labor.
First-degree defiler Keteku Enock Yaw was convicted based on his own guilty plea.
His plea of not guilty to the second count of kidnapping, on the other hand, indicates that he will be reappearing in court to complete the trial.
During the case’s first hearing on September 7, 2021, the prosecuting officer Chief Inspector Richmond Keelson informed the court the complainant, who lives with the victim, had gone to Nkawkaw on August 27, 2021, to attend a funeral and left the victim in the care of her sister.
The victim had been missing since August 28, 2021, when she arrived on August 30, 2021.
During the search of the whereabouts of the victim, her dress was found hanging on a dry line on the corridor of the convict’s room in the same vicinity.
According to a police medical report given to the victim, the victim had been defiled.

His charges included kidnapping and defiling.
When Keteku Enock Yaw went out, he would lock her in her room and have sexual relations with her four times a day, the victim told Starr News.

A four-time daily sexual encounter was the norm for him with me. When he leaves for work, he locks me in my room. Once a day, he would buy me food. On the first day, I bled profusely. I’m in agony now. He got me some outfits that I could wear after I gave birth.”
