Continuing Legon Students To Stay In The House For 3 Months Next Year.
The University of Ghana has released the 2023/2024 academic year calendar. One noticeable schedule for the academic year is the long 3-month vacation for continuing students next year. The incoming Level 100s however, will not enjoy this 3-month vacation.
Currently, every student of the University of Ghana is on vacation following the 14 weeks of studies and exams in the first semester. The 2nd semester will begin on the 11th of May, this year, 2023. It will end on the 14th of August this year. The students will spend 1 month and 3 weeks at home as a vacation. And this vacation period ends the 2022/2023 academic year.
The 2023/2024 academic year comes in 2 folds; one calendar for the continuing students and one for the incoming freshers. For continuing students, the date for reporting for the first semester is 5th October 2023. The continuing students will study from 5th October to 23rd December. They will enjoy the Christmas break from 23rd December and return on the 7th of January, the following year, to continue the first semester. The continuing students will continue their studies and also write their final exams and finally vacate on 4th February 2024. The students will then resume the second semester on 3rd May 2024.

For the incoming 100s, they will have to report to school on the 2nd of January, 2024. They will vacate on the 22nd of April 2024. The incoming level 100s will then enjoy only 11 days of vacation and begin their second semester on the 3rd of May, 2024. This date coincides with the resumption of the second semester of the continuing students.
University of Ghana Cut Off Points For All Undergraduate Courses 2023/2024
This new arrangement came about due to the All African Games which will happen next year, in February and March. The University of Ghana will host this event and the halls of the University will be used to accommodate the guests and other spectators.
