A Cornell Student was arrested for threats to Jewish classmates over the weekend. The arrested student was accused of posting harsh threats online to his Jewish classmates.
The post that was spotted online, on the website ‘GreekRank’ posted by a user with the name ‘Hamas’ who threatened to shoot and kill all Jewish students in Cornell University.
The accused and arrested student, Patrick Dai, is a 21-year-old student of the Cornell University. Also, according to the police, Patrick made devastating threats of r**ing Jewish students in the school.
Additionally, he threatened to behead all Jewish babies and shoot all the Jewish guys as well.
Patrick Dai, the 21-year-old student, has been charged and arrested by the FBI for releasing such threats online. According to the law, these kinds of crime are punishable by up to 5 years.
The accused and arrested Patrick Dai is set to appear in court today in Syracuse.
According to officials and the FBI, Patrick had planned an attack on a University building which was close to the Cornell Jewish Center.
Kathy Hochul, the New York Governor, stated clearly that, she is fully committed to fighting and eradicating every hate towards the Jewish.
The official newspaper for the Cornell University, ‘Cornell Daily Sun’ reported that there have been series of biased comments on the GreekRank website towards the Jewish.
According to reports gathered, the website is not owned or affiliated to the Cornell University, but most of its students are users on the site.
Another post that was seen by a netizen with the username ‘hamas’ was with the title, ‘If I See Another Jew’. These are all posts intended to cause harm to the Jewish people and also threaten them.
