Court Confirms Gifty Gyan ‘s Virginity in Asamoah Gyan Divorce Case
In a recent development in the Asamoah Gyan-Gifty Gyan divorce saga, the High Court of Ghana’s Divorce and Matrimonial Division has confirmed a significant revelation. According to the court, Asamoah Gyan’s wife, Gifty, was a virgin when they first engaged in a sexual relationship in 2004, resulting in the birth of their first son.
This confirmation contradicts previous public statements made by Asamoah Gyan, his brother Baffour Gyan, and their lawyer, who had falsely claimed that Gifty Gyan’s supposed first husband asserted paternity of their first son. The court’s judgment exposes the misinformation spread by the trio, emphasizing that there was no consummation between Gifty and her alleged first “husband,” whom she purportedly married for European papers.

The court highlighted Gifty’s unchallenged assertion that she was a virgin when she first had sexual relations with Asamoah Gyan in 2004. This admission played a crucial role in the court’s determination of the case.
Ultimately, the court, presided over by Hafisata Ameleboba JA, ruled that Gifty Gyan was entitled to a share in Asamoah Gyan’s property based on her substantial contributions.

Recognizing her significant role in the family, where she solely cared for the children and lived with them while Asamoah Gyan pursued his career, the court granted her a share in various assets. This includes a UK property, a gas station at Prampram, a pre-marital 4-bedroom house at Spintex purchased in 2013, and two cars.
As the legal proceedings unfold, this revelation adds a layer of complexity to the divorce case, shedding light on the true circumstances surrounding Asamoah Gyan and Gifty Gyan’s past and the division of their shared assets.
