In case the student selects a school using the CSSPS self-placement module but later wants to change it, the new system allows the student. The previous self-placement module did not permit this.

According to the Education Ministry spokesperson, Mr. Rodney Nkrumah, the new feature is to help ensure the 2020 school placement is difficulty-free.

“What we have done this time around is that after you chose the schools, we have put in a verification system along the lines of what the Electoral Commission does where you can send a text to a certain number to confirm the school that you have chosen”, he noted.

Mr. Rodney added that the self-placement module has no restrictions, so parents and candidates can always go back during the school placement period to make necessary changes.

According to him, the Ministry of Education has dealt with all technical challenges that used to confront the Computerized School Selection and Placement System.

Mr. Rodney assured that there will be no system breaches when the portal is opened to the general public and students.
