USB- Universal Serial Bus
It is a standard type of connection for many different kinds of devices. It is used to connect many types of external devices to the computer
DOS-Disk Operating System
Refers to an operating system software used in most computers that provides the abstraction and management of secondary storage devices and the information on them
ALU- Arithmetic Logic Unit
It is the part of a computer processor that carries out arithmetic and logic operations on the operands in the computer instruction word
BCC- Blind Carbon Copy
It is similar to CC except that the E-mail address of the recipients specified in the field does not appear in the received message header and the recipients in the To and CC fields will not know that a copy has been sent to these addresses
BMP- Bitmap
It is a type of memory organization or image file format used to store digital images
CC – Carbon Copy
Refers to sending copies of an electronic message to secondary recipients
CD- Compact Disk
Optical disk used to store digital data
CD-R – Compact Disk recordable
It is a CD on which you can write data only once. Once you write the data, the data is impossible to erase

CD-ROM – Compact Disk Read-Only Memory
A type of disk capable of storing large amounts of data up to 1 GB, although the most common size is 650 MB
CPU- Central Processing Unit
The brains of the computer where most calculations take place
