Dollar to Cedis bank rates and Dollar to cedis Forex Bureau rates for 9th January 2023

It is another week and take a look at the Dollar to Cedis bank rates and Dollar to cedis Forex Bureau rates for 9th January 2023. US Dollar to Ghanaian Cedi Exchange Rates continue to appreciate in favour of the dollar effective 3rd January and while the Cedi has depreciated over the period, the interbank rates quoted by the bank of Ghana have remained under GHS9.00 per dollar. However, rates quoted by Forex Bureaus based on the forces of demand and supply and those quoted by the top five banks have been far higher.

Let us take a look at the rates quoted by the banks for the dollar.

US Dollar to Ghanaian Cedi Exchange Rate for Today (Source – Cedi Rates)

The rates quoted by Cedi Rates were the exchange rates on the last working day of the previous week which ended on 6th January 2023.

At the GCB, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.50  and the sell rate was GHS11.60.

At the Stanbic Bank, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.20 and the sell rate was GHS11.20 

At the ABSA, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS10.00 and the sell rate was GHS10.90 

At Fidelity Bank, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS10.2 and the sell rate was GHS12.10. 

At the CalBank, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.30 and the sell rate was GHS12.01 

At the Binance P2P, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS11.40 and the sell rate was GHS11.90

The rates quoted by the BoG show the dollar gained by 0.02P  (8.6017 – 8.5817) regarding the buying price and 0.02 (8.6103 – 8.5903)

The dollar buying rate is GHS8.6067 while the Dollar is selling at GHS8.6153

The pound sterling buying rate is GHS10.2334 while the pound sterling is selling at GHS10.2445

The Euro buying rate is GHS9.0633 while the Euro is selling at GHS9.0723
