Dr Kwaku Oteng’s son demoted from CEO to manager of Angel FM
Angel Broadcasting Network’s (ABN) Board of Directors has said that the company’s CEO, Samuel Kofi Acheampong, is no longer in charge.
In a letter from November 30, 2022, Samuel, the son of Ghanaian businessman Dr. Kwaku Oteng, was also fired from his job as CEO of Angel Broadcasting Network.
The Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kwaku Oteng, sent a letter to his son that said, “Please be informed that, at its meeting on November 28, 2022, at Adonko Factory, Kronum-Abuohia in Kumasi, the Board of Directors decided to suspend Mr. Samuel Kofi Acheampong, the CEO of ABN, for a month without pay, starting December 2, 2022.
“The Board has also removed him as CEO of ABN and made him General Manager of Angel FM in Kumasi. The date he starts his new job is January 2, 2023.
The Board told Dr. Kwaku Oteng, the President and Founder/Group Chief Executive Officer, to stay in charge until a real CEO is chosen. We ask all Workers to.
Managers and Unit Heads, especially at ABN, need to work harder and keep believing in the Group. They shouldn’t let new problems get in the way of what they need to do.
The internal memo that was leaked did not say why Samuel Kofi Acheampong was punished the way he was.
