GES Simplified New SHS Calendar for Senior High Students (Updated)
Check the latest update from the GES on the Green Track SHS reopening date as well as the Gold Track.
This is the updated version of the GES Simplified New SHS Calendar for Senior High Students
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has published a new calendar for all SHS in the country. Thus Green and Gold Track SHS 1 and 2 students in all double-track and single-track schools.
Per the last update, there are different reopening dates for schools and tracks. Failure to understand the timetable leads to more confusion.
Gold track SHS2 students are on break for vacation from 28th May 2021 and will spend nearly two months at home and report to school for the next semester on 30th August 2021.
The GES made this known in a May 25th letter to all regional directors of Education.
For schools that have a double track for both SHS1 and SHS2
Green Track SHS 2 is reopening on 1st June 2021.
Gold Track SHS2 will reopen on 30th August 2021.
Green Track SHS1 reopening date is 15th September 2021
Gold Track SHS1 will reopen on 1st August 2021.
Schools that have double track for only SHS2
Green Track SHS 2 is reopening on 1st June 2021.
Gold Track SHS2 reopening date is 30th August 2021.
SHS1 is expected to reopen on 15th September 2021

Schools that have single track only
SHS2 will reopen on 1st August 2021.
SHS2 will reopen on 13th August 2021.
A careful look at the original timetable released by the GES has a few difficult-to-understand timelines. One of such is the vacation dates as well well as the end of the academic year which ends in 2022. Since the academic year started in January, many expect it to end within the same year.

so gold track what wrong have we done to the GES we will only spent one month two weeks in school but spent three solid month in the house.the problem is at the end both the single and the double track will write the same exams and they are expecting us to pass not everybody can afford an extra classes like me am an orphang who take Care of my self.please do something to help us we the gold track.the pasco will not help us!!!!!
Geese , schooling now is like not been in school at all , days spent at home is more than that of which we spend in school , due to this teaching is inefficient and also drowning most students because most can’t afford to organise extra lllessons for themselves . GES please do something , changing the table will help a bit…….
Please when exactly are shs students expected to be in school this 2022 academic year.
