Elclasico: Barcelona Suffers First Defeat In 2023 Laliga Season

Update On the Spanish League: Real Madrid Defeated Barcelona on 28th October 2023 in Elclasico first leg.

Barcelona suffers first defeat in Laliga this season. FC Barcelona started the 2023 Spanish League season on a good note. For the past 10 games in the 2023 Spanish league,  Barcelona goes unbeaten. That is to say that, no team have had its win over Barcelona. Despite being unbeaten in the last 10 games, Barcelona is not on top of the league. As at the 10 game,  Girona was ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Spanish League which is mostly referred to as Laliga.

It was the greatest hope and it will be a great achievement for the FC Barcelona to go unbeaten at the end of 2023 Spanish league season. This dream has been cut short by Real Madrid in their first leg Elclasico. There was a great anticipation from both teams before the game. It was clear to say that Barcelona had a lot of injury players as compared to Real Madrid.

Gundogan gave a win to Barcelona in the first half. However, Barcelona was not able to maintain the one goal lead to the final whistle.  Jude Bellingham scored the first goal for Real Madrid in the Elclasico. Around the clock and exactly on the 68th minute, a long strike (shot) from Jude Bellingham outside the 18 year box finds the nets of the goal post to seal the game into a draw. Just as the game continued; Jude Bellingham scored his second for Real Madrid in the 90+2 minutes . Few minutes later after the second goal from Jude, the game was over and Real Madrid secured all the three (3) points from Barcelona.

This become the first lose for FC Barcelona in the 2023 Spanish league season. Some analysis shows that Barcelona’s defeat can be attributed to the number of injured players. Their very best was given on the pitch but Real Madrid surpasses their abilities to record their first lose in the season. Some of the injured players for Real Madrid are Lewandoski, Raphina, Yamal and several others. Though they will came in the second half but they were defeated.
