GES applications for 2021 promotion
The Ghana Education Service has opened its recruitment portal for qualified applicants to apply for the promotion to Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, And Principal Superintendent positions.
This was contained in a release dated 23rd August and signed by the Director of HRMD Ajoa Van Vicker for the Director-General.
Interested Applicants are to visit the registration portal at https://gespromorons.gov.gh to apply.
How to Apply for the Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, And Principal Superintendent Promotion.
1. All qualified applicants are required to complete an online application process/ form and upload a recent passport size photograph.
2. Applicant must also upload his or her latest promotion letter or upgrading letter or appointment letter. All the documents must be in PDF format and be readable
GES applications for 2021 promotion have to be submitted on or before 23rd September by all qualified applicants due for promotion which is targeting only teachers who have Masters or Ph.D. certificates.
The master’s or Ph.D. programme of the applicant should be in a subject area approved by the Ghana Education Service for study and the Ph.D. should not be obtained before the applicant’s previous promotion.
The GES furthered that the certificate uploaded based on the above should have been obtained on or before 2018 but not before the applicant’s last promotion.
Who Qualifies for Promotion to Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, And Principal Superintendent
The GES has indicated the category of applicants who qualify for the promotion. This is expected to guide all qualified persons to ensure they meet the basic requirements.

For the position of Deputy Directors, applicants must have been promoted to Assistant Director I on or before 2016 and that the applicant should have been at the post till date except in case of approved leave of absence.
