First Term Begins!! GES Director General Applauds Teachers In Ghana
The efforts of teachers are not being recognized by the various agencies in the country under the basic school system. The New Director General for the Ghana Education GES is trying to change the narrative. It is time for people to appreciate the good works of all teachers in the country. With this effect, the GES Director-General applauds teachers for their hard work and commitment to the teaching profession.
The GES Director-General made his statement known when he visited some selected schools in the Western Region of Ghana to welcome the new pupils who have been promoted from kindergarten to basic.
” The great efforts of our teachers cannot be undermined. They are doing a very good job for Mother Ghana and this shows that we have a future looking at the pupil’s attendance. We are glad and impressed with what we have seen so far. We made visits to some selected schools in the Western Region to welcome the young ones. The attendance was very good and we were very happy with what we saw. We appreciate the good works of all teachers across the country and we encourage them to keep up with their good works. This is clear evidence that we have a great future in our educational system”. – GES Director-General applauds teacher.

It is therefore significant for all stakeholders and agencies to give the needed respect to the teachers. This will help the teachers to do their best either in the classroom or the co-curricular activities. We must know that teachers are the key to the development of our country through education. When the efforts of teachers are not well appreciated, they will not be encouraged or motivated to do what they are expected to do in the teaching profession.
