The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released fresh updates on the 2023 BECE candidates’ school selection hours after the completion of the 2023 BECE.
According to the GES, the 2033 BECE candidates’ school selection phase will commence with public education and sensitization programme for school teachers, candidates, and parents.
This activity will start from Friday, 18th August to 18th August across the nation in respective Regional, District Directorates of Education and in schools.
When will the 2023 BECE School Selection Start?
Per the communiqué released by the GES and signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the 2023 BECE School Selection starts on Wednesday 23rd August, and ends on Monday 4th September 2023.
Candidates with the help of parents, teachers, and school authorities will be required to select up to six second high schools that they want to be considered for the school placement.
The GES further advised all schools, parents, and stakeholders to take a keen interest in the school selection process to facilitate a problem-free school placement.
The press release added that, at the appropriate time, a short code will be released to be used by stakeholders to check the accuracy of the schools they have chosen which have been submitted by basic school authorities.
