Fuel Prices Increase Again in Ghana
BREAKING: Fuel Prices Increase Again; More Hardship For Ghanaians -Check Out New Prices Here
At pumps across the country, people who buy petroleum products are likely to pay more again.
The increase goes into effect on November 1, 2022, just a few days after the second pricing window for petroleum products started on October 31.
GhanaWeb Business has looked into this and found that some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are selling petrol for GH17.99 per liter and diesel for GH23.49 per liter.
On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, some OMCs were selling a liter of petrol for GH13.99 and a liter of diesel for GH15.99.
Even though the price of crude oil sold on the world market has been stable, the recent hikes have been blamed for the cedi’s continued to decline against the US dollar.
Rising inflation rates and the rising cost of living in the country have led to a big increase in the price of petrol. This has made consumers worry even more.
The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has started putting into action its plan to raise transportation costs for commuters by 19% starting on November 29, 2022.
This happened after the Union talked with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other people in charge of transportation across the country for a long time.
