As a recipient of a fellowship, you get a $10,000 (USD) educational stipend and other benefits, like free travel to and registration fees for two ACI conventions. The fellowship helps you find a mentor in your field. Also, each scholarship winner gets an educational stipend of $5,000.

Your scholarship benefits only last as long as you are in school, and you can’t get more than one fellowship or scholarship from ACI.

Who can get an ACI Fellowship Scholarship for 2023?

General Requirements for the ACI Fellowship Scholarship

You must be able to speak English well. If you come from a place where English is not the main language, you must upload a copy of your TOEFL test. (You can skip this)
International students from anywhere in the world can apply for ACI Foundation scholarships, unless the award sponsor has specific requirements for the area of study or the country. But you have to go to a school in the U.S. or Canada when you apply and while the award is being given.

The award cycle for 2023 runs from the spring semester of 2023 to the fall semester of 2024.
To be eligible for the ACI fellowship graduate scholarship, you must be a full-time student in a master’s or Ph.D. program for the entire award cycle.

For the ACI fellowship undergraduate scholarship, you must be a full-time undergraduate student throughout the award cycle. The scholarship stipend is put into your account by your school’s registrar and financial aid office in two equal payments spread out over a year.

Duration of the fellowship

For some fellowships, you have to run and finish a 10- to a 12-week internship during the summer of 2023.
You will find out by February 4, 2023, if you are a finalist for an ACI Foundation Fellowship. You must schedule an interview with the Scholarship Council at the spring ACI Concrete Convention on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

You will get a travel stipend and the ACI Foundation will pay for your hotel, registration, flight, and other costs.
Near the end of their fellowship, people who get them are expected to write a report about how the fellowship helped them grow as people and prepare for their chosen careers after they graduate.

Needs for an ACI Foundation Fellowship — Middle East and North Africa

You must be able to speak English well. If English is not your first language, you must bring a copy of your TOEFL test or a letter that says you know English. You must go to a university in the Gulf Cooperation Council region (Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates), Iraq, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt, or Tunisia if you want to get an ACI fellowship.

You must be available to attend the interview with the Scholarship Council on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the spring ACI Concrete Convention. You don’t have to worry about your flight, hotel, and registration expenses, as they will be all covered by ACI Fellowship. If you get a fellowship, you will have to write a report about how the fellowship helped you grow as a person and advance your career.
