The Ghana Education Service (GES) new 2025 teacher recruitment update making rounds on social media revealed that the GES has received clearance from the Ministry of Finance. The letter added that the recruitment process for 2025 has been approved and will begin soon.
However, our checks from the GES Facebook page revealed on 4th October, 2025 showed that the viral press release was false. The GES also described the press release and its content as fake.
The GES has for the 4th time in the year warned the public not to believe any information announcing the start of recruitment until they see the information on its official communication channels.
According to the GES, teachers and the general public should only source information about the service from its official GES Facebook page and GES WhatsApp Channel.
The fake GES 2025 teacher recruitment update press release contained a contact number as well which the criminals behind the letter intended to use as a conduit to scam unsuspecting teaching and non teaching staff. The GES has since removed the last three digits of the phone number and also published the fake letter to alert the general public.
