The Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the reopening of schools for all single-track public senior high schools (SHSs). The rescheduled re-opening date was made public by the GES through a letter sighted by the Ghana Education News Portal.
Per the calendar for the 2024/2025 academic year, the 2nd semester for the 2024/2025 academic year is set to begin on March 30, 2025. On this day, all Form 1, Form 2, and Form 3 students will return to school to commence activities for this semester. However, this will not be the reopening date again due to the newly released date by the GES.

Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform all Heads of Single Track Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools that the reopening date for Single Track schools has been rescheduled to 23rd April, 2025.
By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are requested to communicate this information to all Heads of Single Track Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools to inform parents/guardians and students to take note of the new re-opening date and prepare accordingly.
