The Ghana Education Service is yet to open the 2023 recruitment portal for university graduates. A lot of university graduates are currently waiting for the Ghana Education Service to open the recruitment portal. It has been close to two years since the Ghana Education Service opened the University graduate portal.

Due to this, some graduates do find dubious means(back door) and pay huge sums. There has been some reports where graduates pay ranging ¢10,000 to ¢15,000 to get recruited into the service. In the end, some people do get scammed.

This brings us to our topic for today.
Once teachers receive their appointment letters, there is only place to verify whether such letter is legit or not. That place is the regional education office. The regional education office will take the reference number on your appointment letter to see if it is authentic or not. This is called the master list.
Once your name is in their master list, then you are good to go. If not, you will find yourself wanting.

After the verification at the regional education office, one will have to move to the district education office where he or she has been posted. This is where your bank, SSNIT and other details will be taken for processing. After that, you will move to the school you have been posted.

WHEN IS GES OPENING THE GRADUATE RECRUITMENT PORTAL?

As at now, it is not clear whether the Ghana Education Service will open the portal this year. Recently, the portal was opened for diploma graduates. The last time GES opened the portal for degree graduates was in January, 2021. It is therefore assumed that the Ghana Education Service will open the portal in January, 2024.

WHAT SHOULD GRADUATES DO?

Graduates who wish to teach must surely wait for the portal to be opened. It is however advisable to find yourself something doing to help you earn some amount of money as you wait. Only few graduates get selected when the portal is reopened.
