The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released a list of teachers whose salaries were suspended in March 2025 due to inconsistencies in their National Identification Authority (NIA) numbers. In the Ashanti Region, a total of 758 affected teachers have been compiled in an Excel sheet, according to the latest list provided by the GES and cited by the Ghana Education News portal.
The list of affected teachers has been divided into two subgroups based on the severity of their issues. Guidelines for resolving these issues to facilitate the reinstatement and activation of their frozen salaries have also been released to assist the affected teachers.
According to a communique sighted by this portal, Category A teachers comprise a list that has been processed and submitted following an earlier directive from Headquarters (HQ) and the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD). Category B teachers are required to appear in person at CAGD Room 32 for clarification before their salaries can be reinstated or processed for payment.
All affected teachers in Category B are advised to take proactive steps immediately, while those in Category A should verify with their relevant officers to confirm that the rectified details have been successfully processed. Below are the full details and the list of affected teachers for easy access. Check if You’re Among the Affected Ghana Teachers.
