GES Sends Important Message To All BECE Students On Schools Selection

The management of the Ghana Education Service wants to let everyone know that there will be a sensitization exercise for teachers, parents/guardians, candidates, and the public all over the country.
This is part of the plan to make sure that school selection goes smoothly for BECE candidates in 2022.
The exercise will bring the School Selection Guidelines and any changes to the forefront.
Introduced in the Second Cycle, School Register for all stakeholders.
The venues will be decided by the National Coordinator, SSPS, and the Regional Education Directorates.
Monitoring Teams from the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service will be in the regions to monitor the exercise.
The School Selection process has been explained in a video that can be seen and can be downloaded at freeshs.net
By this letter, Regional Directors are asked to tell Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education about this important exercise and to let SISOs go to training.
Here are the specifics of the exercise.
- Meeting of SISOs (22nd October 2022 – 23rd October 2022).
Meeting of Regional and District Directors (24th October 2022)
Showing of school selection videos of BECE candidates (24th Oct 2022 – 29th October 2022)
Selection of Schools by candidates, Parents and guardians (31st October – 18th November 2022).
