The GES is to introduce a new school selection system that will allow candidates to select up to 11 schools instead of 6 using two different forms, which will help deal with self-placement challenges as well as other problems that come with the release of placements.
The 2023 School selection phase of the BECE has come to a halt, with parents not knowing what to do. However, this portal can confirm that the suspension of the school selection for candidates is to permit the GES to introduce a new school selection system to deal with Self-Placement Issues among others.
The GES also took down the school selection booklet off the internet.
Per our sources, the GES is updating the current school selection form. The new form will consist of two sections aimed at making the selection of second-cycle schools understandable and not complicated.
The new Free SHS selection form will have two sections, as follows.

- The 2nd placement school selection form
